The Mekong flows through almost everything here: literally and metaphorically. Laos rewards slow travelers. A few days in Vientiane or Luang Prabang might feel like enough, but stay longer and you'll find village rhythms, river time, and a pace that makes you reconsider what travel is supposed to feel like.
